We have had a wonderful week learning all about Australia. We had lots of fun painting and decorating our own boomerangs and didgeridoos. We listened to some pieces of music which contained the sound of the didgeridoo and learned how the sounds can be made into animal sounds.

We had a wonderful walk around Elford with our travelling tale cuddly toy, Pig the Pug. We showed him the sites of the village including the pub, the village hall and the park. The children were excited to show Pig around the village. Even though it was a little bit wet, we all had a lovely walk.

We have had lots of fun completing activities linked to our travelling tale. In Literacy we became rhyme detectives and worked with a friend to spot the rhyming words in our story. It was lots of fun! Great work Class 1!
