Children’s Safety – Frozen Water

Dear Families,
I am sure you will have heard the tragic news over the weekend regarding the incident that occurred at Babbs Mill Park in Solihull. The incident involved children playing on the frozen lake and falling through the ice.

With a river and ponds in the local community, I would like to request that all families remind their children about the dangers that are associated with playing on frozen waters.

As we approach Christmas, the thought of families and the local community dealing with such a distressful incident leaves me sick with worry.

We have spoken to the children the dangers associated with playing on frozen lakes. To further support, please speak to your children about this at home. As always, your support is very much appreciated.
