Our science topic this term is all about people who help us and this week we have focussed on the police. We became detectives and used our careful observation skills to study fingerprints. We had a mystery to solve - who stole Miss Jennings cup of tea? The culprit left a fingerprint on the mug, so we took samples of all the teacher’s fingerprints on balloons and blew them up to enlarge them. We then used our magnifying glasses to make careful observations to discover whose fingerprint it was. We then finished by creating our own fingerprints. Lots of great learning today - well done class 1 detectives.
