We are absolutely thrilled to share some incredible news from the recent MAT Spelling Bee Final held at Richard Crosse! 

The Howard was brilliantly represented by a formidable team of word wizards: four talented pupils from Key Stage 1 and eight superb spellers from Key Stage 2. Competing against three other schools in a series of intense individual and team rounds, our children showed exactly what they are made of.

Throughout the nail-biting competition, The Howard team demonstrated immense bravery, resilience, and a truly fantastic team spirit. They supported one another through every single word, making our entire school community immensely proud.

After an exciting afternoon of spelling, the final scores revealed a double celebration for The Howard:

Key Stage 2 Team: Secured a fantastic 2nd place finish! 

Key Stage 1 Team: Claimed the top spot, officially bringing the trophy home to The Howard! 

A huge well done to all of our MAT spelling bee finalists—you are all superstars!
