Reception have had lots of fun exploring with paint. They have used sponges to print, mixed new colours and most importantly of all, had fun!
 

Reception have been working very hard developing their listening skills. They have had to follow instructions and they have even given each other instructions to follow. Great work children. 
 

Class 2 have started their first computing unit of this school year by exploring what a digital device is. They then explored the concept of ‘input, process, output’ with the BeeBots. 

Class 2 worked very hard creating puppets to present the story Flower Power to class 1 children. All of the children retold the story and some even included songs that they had made up. Well done Class 2.

Our newest children designed their dream gardens whilst practising their cutting skills. Great work children!

Year 1 & Year 2 have finished their wonderful first week back studying the book ‘Flower Power’ by designing their own gardens to retell the story with. Great work everyone!
 

Today our focus book, Flower Power, was brought to life with a visit from the author, Caroline Wedd. She spoke to us about her inspiration and reason for writing the book. We asked her questions and joined in with movements and songs to bring the book to life.

What a fabulous first day back to school class 2 have had! We have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the theme of resilience through the wonderful book, ‘Flower Power’.
Class 2 worked through real life situations where resilience is needed. We then decorated plant pots and planted seeds of resilience…

What a fabulous end of year treat we have had today! Thank you PTA. Class 1 loved it!

 Class 2 have been looking at how they can grow a growth mindset. They have learnt the power of the word YET and how thinking positively can open your mind to allow learning in and growth. 
Remember, mistakes are part of learning, resilience is vital and the power of yet!

Reception have been investigating what a half is. They have looked at half of objects and then moved on to half of amounts. Great investigating everyone. 
 

Year 1 have worked very hard designing and making fruity skewers fit for a Teddy Bear’s picnic. Great work everyone.
