Frosty, frozen fun!

Thank you to Mrs Carter and Mrs Blakeman for setting up…
A special visitor
Year 1 and 2 children have been learning about animals and their habitats. One of our children very kindly brought in his hedgehog! This really helped bring our learning to life as we spoke about where a hedgehog would usually be found, why alit lived there, how it would be adapted to live there…
Exploring the natural world
Reception have had lots of fun exploring the natural world around them. This week they looked at spiders and their webs. They then had a great time creating a spider web and trying to catch as many insects as possible. Super job everyone!
Microhabitats and minibeasts

Which habitat is my animal best suited to and why?
Year one and two have been learning about biomes. They have spent two weeks exploring three biomes (rainforest, desert and tundra) and the animals that can live there. This week they wrote about how their animal was adapted to its habitat. Great learning everyone!
Fighting fit firefighters
In science, Reception have been looking at people who help us. This week they have looked at the brave job of a firefighter. They learnt that firefighters have to be fit and created some exercises that firefighters might do to help them stay fit and healthy.
Greater than, less than or equal to
Year 1 have continued their place value unit in maths by thinking about comparing numbers. They have used the terms greater than, less than and equal to as well as using the correct symbols to show this. Well done children.
