Building 9 & 10
Reception have extended their number knowledge by investigating 9 & 10. They went on a number hunt, sorted numbers, built numbers and have started to look at 1 more and 1 less. Great work.
Sustainable fishing
Class 2 have learnt about the importance of fishing sustainably. They have looked at the harm overfishing can do to the environment and created posters to promote fish free Fridays.
They have also made sandwiches using fish products that were sustainable sourced.

Water Testing in the Local Area
The children took a local area walk this morning to take part in the Parish Council river testing.
We enjoyed testing the PH level of the water and investigating wildlife around the river.

The day the crayons quit
The children have thoroughly enjoyed listening to our new text this morning. They thought of some wonderful words to describe how each of Duncan’s crayons were feeling. Well done Year 1!
Seasonal cooking
Class 2 have been working hard learning about seasonal British fruit, vegetables and meat. They made stuffed peppers and meatballs. Great skills learnt everyone!
Animator Visit
We were extremely lucky to take part in a workshop with professional artist and animator Leo Wright. Leo has worked with some of the countries biggest names in animation including Aardman who created Wallace and Gromitt. During the workshop we watched some short films that Leo had created as well…
Forest school friday

Mother’s Day High Tea
What a wonderful morning we have had for our Mother’s Day High Tea. The children had worked so hard to prepare the scones and the Year 6 children were fabulous hosts. We hope you all enjoyed spending the morning with us, we certainly did.

Our Greenpower cars are nearing completion for race day which is taking place at Curborough race track on Monday 16th June.
