We had lots of fun this afternoon in the outdoor theatre retelling the story of Osiris in our history lesson.

Year one and two have been learning about biomes. They have spent two weeks exploring three biomes (rainforest, desert and tundra) and the animals that can live there. This week they wrote about how their animal was adapted to its habitat. Great learning everyone!

In science, Reception have been looking at people who help us. This week they have looked at the brave job of a firefighter. They learnt that firefighters have to be fit and created some exercises that firefighters might do to help them stay fit and healthy. 
 

Today we used UV beads to test out how we can protect our eyes and skin from the sun. We tested different factor suncreams to see if they protected the beads and used layers of different transparent materials to investigate how sun glasses protect our eyes.

Our school’s new sensory garden has already become a hub of excitement, learning, and teamwork! These last few weeks, the project has really begun to take shape as PTA parent volunteers and children have started to plant up the garden. Thanks to generous donations and the dedication of our school…

Year 5 had a great time at the fire station on Thursday. They learned how to stay safe in the home, near water and out in the environment plus how to be responsible citizens.
