PTA- Autumn festival
Our wonderful PTA put together an amazing Autumn festival for our school. Wand making, pumpkin decorating, crafts, camp fires and a disco, were just a few on the many fabulous activities set up for our children. Thank you all for such a wonderful event.
Family history afternoon
Class 2 had a fabulous afternoon welcoming in their families to their family history afternoon. Thank you to everyone who came. The children have learnt so much about their family history.
Year 3/4 cross country stars!
Some of the children from class 3 gave up their time to represent our school in the Tamworth cross country event. They were all superstars who showed great determination to complete the 800m distance race. We are very proud of you all! A special mention to the girls who won overall!
Making Wedgwood Pots
Class 2 have worked incredibly hard creating Wedgwood inspired pottery. It was messy but fun work! They are now patiently waiting for the clay to air dry before applying their colouring mixing skills to paint their pots the perfect shade of Wedgwood blue. Watch this space!
Which materials are absorbent and how do we know?
Class 2 have enjoyed investigating which materials are absorbent and explained how they knew. They also looked at the importance of fair tests.

What is it like where we live?
What a beautiful afternoon we had exploring our pretty village! The children had a lovely time looking for human and physical features in our rural village, Elford. We visited the church, walled gardens and the river where the children drew some of the features of our village. Well done…
Colouring mixing
Class 2 have experimented with mixing primary colours to make secondary colours. They then explored tints and shades before finally making the perfect Wedgewood blue!
